Databasin One

Meet Databasin One: talk to your data

Databasin One brings conversational AI to your lakehouse: ask questions in plain English, get live SQL-backed answers, charts, and exportable documents. It grows out of the AI Chat experience introduced in August and becomes the platform's AI home base.

Today we're introducing Databasin One — the conversational AI analyst for your lakehouse, and the new home for everything AI in Databasin.

Ask a question in plain English. Databasin One writes the SQL, runs it against your connected data, and then discusses the results with you — charts included.

What's under the hood

  • A two-phase model: first collect the data (with auto-corrected queries when the first attempt misses), then analyze it conversationally. Introduced with AI Chat in August, now a full product surface.
  • PDF and Excel export of any analysis, at launch
  • Data Exchange for moving curated datasets between contexts
  • Databricks-backed chat and dashboards supported within days of launch
  • It reuses your existing lakehouse connections — there is no separate "AI copy" of your data, ever

We built Databasin One because the last mile of analytics — a person with a question, staring at a schema — was still the hardest part. Now the question is the interface.

This is version one of a long roadmap. Watch this space.
